Steven Joseph Koroknay

Mr
Koroknay’s career encompasses 25 years in the
international oil and gas industry commencing with Esso
Australia Limited (Esso). Prior to becoming the Technical
Manager of Esso’s upstream activities in Australia, Mr
Koroknay was the Assistant Area Manager for the Esso/BHP
Bass Strait operation, which at the time included twelve
offshore platforms producing oil and gas, associated
pipelines and three onshore processing plants. During the 15
years he worked for Esso, Mr Koroknay also had various
assignments in the United States.Mr Koroknay left Esso to
take up the position of Manager of Production and
Engineering with Bridge Oil Limited, rising to Executive
Director – Resources. Mr Koroknay worked with Bridge Oil
for ten years, during which time the growth of Bridge Oil
was principally achieved through a strategy of acquisition
of oil and gas producing assets in Australia and the United
States.Mr Koroknay was formerly a councillor of Australian
Petroleum Production and Exploration Association Limited and
the chairman of the Advisory Board for the School of
Petroleum Engineering at the University of New South Wales.
He is currently a Fellow of the Australian Institute of
Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Mining and
Metallurgy and the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Mr
Koroknay is a director and shareholder of Anzon Energy
Limited, a substantial shareholder in Anzon Australia.

Jean-Marc Georgy

Mr Georgy
has over 27 years experience as an investment banker, during
which time he held numerous high level financial posts with
Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) and JP Morgan in Europe, the
United States and in emerging markets. His major professional
experience has been in corporate finance, project finance
and general management. He has been instrumental in major
oil and gas industry financing and merger and acquisition
transactions.
Mr Georgy initially spent 4 years with BNP first in Project
Finance as Project Head – Oil and Gas Section, heading
the then largest French export project financing transactions
in the North Sea such as Frigg, Alwyn, Montrose, Piper and
many others, before becoming Head of Shipping and Aircraft
Finance Sector.
He subsequently spent 22 years with JP Morgan, working as
a Vice President then as a Managing Director in New York,
Paris, Lagos and London. He has held several significant positions
in JP Morgan such as Head of Investment Banking and Senior
Client Executive of JP Morgan France, being on the Board of
Morgan & Cie and of Societe de Bourse JP Morgan.
Mr Georgy is a director of Anzon Energy Limited.

Andrew Alexander Young

Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer
Mr Young, 2003 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) President, was a senior advisor and regional director for Gaffney, Cline & Associates’ (GCA) technical and management team in Sydney, providing advisory services in Australia and Asia and supporting other project teams internationally.
Prior to joining GCA in 1999, Mr Young served as Managing Director of Century Drilling Ltd., an Australian oil/gas, mineral and geothermal drilling contractor. From 1994 to 1997, he was General Manager of Operations for the New Zealand Natural Gas Corp., responsible for gas processing and high-pressure pipeline operations. Mr Young also spent 11 years at Bridge Oil Ltd., where he was production manager, and eight years with Esso Australia Ltd. in various technical and management positions.
Throughout his professional career, Mr Young has been active in SPE, particularly in assisting in its formative development in Australia. He served as Director of the SPE Asia Pacific Region from 1993 to 1996. A recipient of the SPE Young Member Outstanding Service Award in 1987 and the SPE Asia Pacific Regional Service Award in 1998, Mr Young also was named SPE Distinguished Member in 2000.
Mr Young currently serves on the Advisory Board of University of New South Wales School for Petroleum Engineering, recently completed a four-year term as a director of the National Safety Council of Australia, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a BE degree in chemical engineering from Melbourne University and MBA degree (honors) from the University of Rochester, New York. |
Michael Norman Arnett

Mr Arnett
is a Partner, member of the board of directors and national
head of the Natural Resources Business Unit of the law firm
Deacons. Mr Arnett is also one of the firm’s 2 representatives
on the International Management Board responsible for the
management of Deacons’ international operations which
extend throughout Asia. His practice is corporate and commercial
in which resource industry work has been prominent for the
last 10 years. Mr Arnett acts for a number of junior and major
exploration and mining companies with operations in Australia,
Asia and Africa.
Mr Arnett is also a director of Anzon Energy Limited. Mr Arnett
is also the director of a number of public and private companies,
including Archipelago Resources Plc, Aztec Resources Limited,
Kids Campus Ltd, Orlando Resources NL and Queensland Energy
Resources Ltd. |
Michael O’Hearn Clarey

Mr Clarey
has over 30 years international business experience in Australia,
Asia, Europe, and North America. He brings a broad base of
financial experience having worked in senior Government and
management positions in the financial services industry across
specific industries including mining and metals, oil and gas,
construction and engineering, and shipbuilding, passenger
and ferry services.
Mr Clarey served in the US Navy where he achieved the rank
of Lieutenant. Assignments included the River Patrol Force
in Vietnam and subsequently an instructor at US Naval Officer
Candidate School in Newport, RI, USA. Following graduate school
where he earned a Masters in International Management, Mr
Clarey commenced his banking career at JP Morgan where he
spent 18 years, in Sydney, USA, Singapore, Japan and France
in diverse roles including corporate finance, capital and
bond markets.
During the 1990’s Mr Clarey was Executive Director,
Corporate Finance at Chemical Australia Limited and Managing
Director and Head of Non-ferrous Metals & Mining with
Chemical Securities in New York. Following the merger with
Chase Manhattan, Mr Clarey became Head of Forest Products
and Aluminium for Chase Securities. In August 1999, Mr Clarey
was appointed by the Australia Government’s Export Finance
Insurance Corporation (EFIC) as Head of the Structured Trade
and Project Finance Division. |
